JOB DESCRIPTION: The Vice President of Performance Optimization and Innovation reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the EHN and works collaboratively with the CEO, clinicians, other senior executives, administrative leaders and internal and external partners to align performance improvement and program development initiatives with broader organizational goals and priorities. VP will work closely with EHN Chief Medical Officer/Chief Quality Officer and the Executive Director of the EHN and Emory Healthcare Primary Care Service Line, who will provide clinical oversight and support to the position. VP will standardize and improve clinical performance and develop and launch programs to support the EHN and Primary Care's population health and value-based care needs while fostering a culture of innovation, staying abreast of emerging trends, technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement. In this role, the VP will have oversight for the development and execution of performance improvement strategies that will improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency and drive operational excellence throughout the EHN and Primary Care. VP will provide strategic leadership in identifying education gaps, establishing & improving standard work, training to standard work expectations, leveraging data and reporting to identify improvement opportunities, and change management. VP will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop performance dashboards and ensure their utilization to support operational and clinical teams achieving successful delivery of job roles and responsibilities. VP will analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. VP will lead performance improvement projects and initiatives for Emory Primary Care and EHN, with accountability to key performance metrics, including quality measures, utilization measures, and financial measures. VP will have accountability for partnership with clinical and operational leaders to effectively implement standardized workflows and improvements, manage phase in / phase out of changes and have oversight for robust follow through on changes to ensure success. VP will be accountable for designing, developing, and implementing key programs to improve quality and reduce cost of care and for partnering with operational and clinical leaders to ensure effective implementation of key EHN clinical and business priorities. VP will have oversight of complex projects and programs, including business analysis, documentation of business requirements, defining current/future scope of work, and project management. VP is responsible for leveraging project management methodology and tools to drive collaboration, facilitate planning, and ensure realization of deliverables and milestones, while adhering to established timelines. VP will provide thought leadership through ongoing & annual evaluation of population health programs to ensure efficacy and efficiency, as well as appropriate human capital utilization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or other related field of study. Eight years of experience in a healthcare leadership or management position with at least 5 years of direct experience in performance improvement, program development, and/or a clinically integrated network or Accountable Care Organization. Knowledge of population health programs, healthcare regulations, process standardization and quality assurance. Strong strategic thinking, interpersonal and communication skills.
