Job Description:

  • Conduct behavioral/cognitive testing procedures in rats that involve non-invasive neuromodulation and optogenetic stimulation. Conduct appropriate analyses, troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions. Maintenance of behavioral test equipment.

  • Oversight of activities performed by students and technical staff who will assist with in vivo experiments.

  • Conduct biochemical and molecular experiments.

  • Computer programming in order to adjust task parameters and conduct data analysis.

  • Coordinate and analyze data and provide progress reports at weekly meetings.

  • Perform biochemical and immunohistological studies.

  • Tissue clearing and light sheet microscopy

  • Perform multimodal high field MRI imaging.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with experience up to 19.50/hr.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related life science field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced experience in conducting animal behavioral testing and leading projects within a laboratory.

Evidence of proficiency in operant behavioral testing, optogenetics, multimodal MRI, tissue clearing, light sheet microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and biochemistry strongly preferred.
